08/05/2025 Y'A D'LA JOIE
For 4 years now, thanks to the association Familles Rurales, the town has celebrated the end of the war in Europe with a grand show, which has become more important this year, it being the 80th anniversary. Our association offered fast food all day long in the Rose Garden.

20/04/2025 EASTER EGG HUNT
On Easter Sunday the association held its annual Easter Egg Hunt for the children of Lassay and its surroundings. We welcomed around a hundred children between the age of 0 to 12 years. Fortunately the weather was kind to us !

15/12/2024 MOMENT D'HIVER
Finally, after several years, we succeeded in bringing back to life our activityof December.
Moment d'Hiver is a moment for families, children and parents to come along to take part in a variety of activities: wooden games, makeup sessions, craft workshops, horse and carriage rides especially for the children.
For grown-ups we offered mulled wine, beer or wine, oysters, pancakes and galettes. Sadly, during the afternoon the weather had not been kind to us , but we carried on in a convivial and friendly ambiance

21-22/09/2024 PATRIMONY DAYS
The Cultural Association of Lassay-les-Châteaux opened up Bois Thibault castle as usual on the Saturday and Sunday of Patrimony weekend but also offered to our visitors sausage or goose pâté sandwiches and drinks.
The attendance on Sunday was less than normal, probably due to the wet weather for much of the day
All our thanks to the volunteers during the weekend, especially to our Mayor, Jean Raillard, our baker of bread for Sunday !

10 - 18/08/2024 EXHIBITION OF THE LIBERATION OF LASSAY-LES-CHÂTEAUX 1944
During the 10th and 18th august, the Cultural Association mounted an exhibition in l'Espace des Arts of the town to describe the activities of the Resistance in and around Lassay and the Liberation with several winesses and memories
The centrepiece of the exhibition was American ans German objects of the time very kindly loaned to us by the Museum of Mr Rébulard at Le Housseau-Bretignolles.
During the week we welcomed almost 1000 visitors from all over the world!
Thanks also to our treasurer Alain Lecoq and his wife Françoise who were present for every day
On the afternoon of Saturday 17th August, there was a CONFERENCE (click for details) presented by local author Alain Rabarot in the Espace des Arts of Lassay.

06/07/2024 DEATH OF JÉRÔME BEAUGRAND
The Cultural Association of Lassay-les-Châteaux regrets to inform you of the death of our President, Jérôme Beaugrand on Saturday 6th July 2024
Jérôme is resting in Lassay-les-Châteaux funérarium
The ceremony will take place on Wednesday 10 July at 10h30 at Mayenne Crematorium

01/06/2024 MEDIEVAL MEAL IN THE CELLARS OF BOIS THIBAULT CASTLE
We welcomed 82 diners who really enjoyed the experience ! Volunteers of the association worked their socks off to ensure our guests had a good time. Special mention should be made of Monique Bouteloup who created the menu médiéval and prepared much of it and André Blottière with his professional expertise in the kitchen.

19/05/2024 LES TOURNOIS DE BEHOURD with the ORDER of SINOPLE
On Saturday 19th May 2024 we welcomed hundreds of visitors to this event. We enjoyed 5 sessions of battle between chevaliers in armour with explications of the tradition. In the main hall of the château the "Facétieuse Company" gave an interactive demonstration of Medieval dancing. Outside the walls of the château, the archers from Le Horps initiated people into the art of archery. Fast food was available for visitors.

EASTER EGG HUNT
Our first event of the 2024 season welcome more that 200 chidren with their parents, grandparents or guardian ; the children had a lot of fun searching for the Easter eggs. They received 8 eggs each.
There were two children who found the clue to winning a surprise gift !
